Jacob LassinJacob Lassin is an assistant professor of regional and cultural studies (Russia) at the Air Force Culture and Language Center, Air University. He received his PhD from Yale University in Slavic literature and cultures in 2019. His research focses on the intersection of religion, politics, literature, and new media in Russia and the former Soviet Union. He is currently working on a book project titled Sacred Sites: Russian Orthodox Cultural Politics Online, which explores how websites run by the Russian Orthodox Church and its allies reinterpret Russian culture to attract a new educated elite that supports the church and state.
