J.S. Griffiths
Professor James (Jim) Griffiths has been involved with engineering geology and geomorphology since his PhD research at King’s College, London (1976–79). He worked in the civil engineering industry 1979-1993 before joining the University of Plymout as a lecturer and retired in 2015 as Dean of Research &Enterprise. He has published over 90 scientific papers, and this is his ninth book. In 2013 he was awarded the Glossop Medal of the Geological Society for his contributions to his discipline.
