J. F. C. Hecker
Hecker, J. F. C. (Justus Friedrich Carl) (1795-1850) was a distinguished professor of medicine known for his historical inquiries into medicine. He was born in Erfurt and had a strong inclination towards the historical side of medical inquiries. H is regarded as the founder of historical pathology and published important works like "The Black Death" and "The Dancing Mania." He continued to write on epidemics, including a treatise on the "Great Epidemics of the Middle Ages."
