J J Jackson

J J JacksonAuthor J. J. Jackson was raised in a southern Indiana town until she was 8 years old. Then her world changed for the next 15 years. She started to travel with her family. J.J.'s father was an officer in the army. She was thrown into a culture she wasnot familiar with and at times it could be frustrating. She was subjected to, many different cultures and people and was thrown into a place with no one but her immediate family, no friends, no grandparents, no cousins not anyone. She decided to look at everything as an adventure. Like the books she had read. J.J.'s father was stationed in several different places throughout the years. They never stayed anywhere for too long at one time. Every time they had to pack up and leave, she would think about hobo's catching a train to go to another place. The only time they stayed anywhere for longer than one year was when her father was stationed in Germany. Oh, what an adventure that was. The castles, the stories we read growing up, like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, the gingerbread house, all came alive. J.J had always believed in fairies and little people and what a wonderful place for someone's imagination to go wild. The way that life goes, you grow-up, get married and have children. She was no acceptation; She got married and had 2 children. She was married for almost 20 years when she lost her mother, brother, and my husband in a 10 year span. This sent her into a state of depression and all she could think of was finding a place that was happy and full of life again. She kept thinking about what her teacher said when she was growing up; When you read a book it can take you to anyplace you want to go. You can live an adventure without leaving your room. J.J. has always had a fascination with Christmas and especially with Christmas cards. She would look at the cards and imagine what stories they were trying to tell you. She would put several Christmas cards together and make up a story of her own. One day she decided to put the Christmas stories that she had made up on paper and came up with several Christmas stories. The Christmas Fairy is one of those stories. So, she decided if she could write Christmas stories, she could put her imagination into other stories. She has, and the writing hasn't stopped. J.J. enjoys putting her imagination and adventures on paper. She writes every day, sometimes just a few pages and other days it could be up to 20 pages or more. I don't think I will ever stop putting my imagination and adventures on paper, says J.J. Read More Read Less
