J E MoretonJ E Moreton was born in a small village in the North West of England. Her family emigrated to Australia when she was just two years old. They lived in Albany, Western Australia, until she was twelve years old, at which time, due to her paternal grandarents' ailing health, the family returned to Blackpool in England.Growing up in Blackpool, she eventually obtained a teaching qualification and studied office administration. Her working life started as an Executive Assistant with British Aerospace, which led to a role in Human Resources at the Head Office of a major insurance company.Returning to Australia in 1983, she continued working in the Human Resources Sector until the birth of her daughter, following which she pursued a career in the education sector. She was always fascinated to hear stories about what life was like for a typical working-class family throughout World War II, both at home and for those serving abroad. Her love of writing and long-held dream of becoming an author led her to write stories of the events happening in the world at that time, which led to this comprehensive narrative.J E Moreton has also published a book of poetry 'Shhh! We Don't Talk About That!', drawing on her vast experience as an educator. She now lives with her husband in a leafy suburb in Western Australia and is the proud nanna to two beautiful granddaughters.
