J D MatthewsJanet Matthews was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She is the only daughter of a migrating English couple, who survived the Second World War and wanted a better life for their children, starting afresh in a new country. Having completed formal raining in Fashion and thence teaching, her father's love of flying, being a decorated Spitfire pilot, induced her to join the Royal Australian Air Force. Graduating as an Officer in Logistics, she remained in the service for many years with a variety postings to her credit. With the advent of family, Janet accepted a position heading up a well-respected, long established Real Estate Development Company, where she remains today. Extensively travelled, both overseas and within her beloved Australia, she is based on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales, where her love of history, writing and telling a good tale are her delight. J D Matthews has written six novels to date. She is not content until each character and situation is exposed in full, winding both around the unfolding drama in each novel.
