IsolIsol is the author and illustrator of 10 books of her own as well as a collaborator with Argentinian poet Jorge Luj.n. In 2013 she was awarded the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Award. She has also twice been selected as a finalist for the Hans Christia Andersen Award. The Spanish edition of It's Useful to Have a Duck (Tener un patito es util) was chosen by the American Institute of Graphic Arts as one of its '50 Books/50 Covers' for concept and design. It was also included by Venezuela's Banco de Libro in 'Los mejores libros para ninos y jovenes 2008' (The best books for children and youth 2008).
