Illysa R. FosterIllysa Foster is a practicing homebirth midwife and owner of Sisters Midwifery, Inc. She holds a master's degree in Human Development and Education (University of Texas) and is certified by the North American Registry of Midwives. Prior to becominga midwife, Illysa served as adjunct faculty at Austin Community College. She has worked to develop curricula for the Association of Texas Midwives and is now a peer evaluator for the Midwifery Education and Accreditation Council.
