Hope Mirrlees
Hope Mirrlees (1887-1978) was a pioneering British author and poet. She gained early acclaim for her experimental masterpiece Paris: A Poem, published by Virginia Woolf's Hogarth Press. However, she is perhaps best remembred for her 1926 novel Lud-in-the-Mist, a foundational work of modern fantasy that influenced generations of fantasy authors.
