Himanshu ShekharDr. Himanshu Shekhar is a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working as Scientist 'G', Associate Director in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). He was instrumental in creation of facilities for processing propellats in large size case-bonded rocket motors in DRDO and also the development of production facility for case-bonded rocket motor. He has processed many tons of rocket propellants in rockets of different dimensions and has developed prediction and analysis tools for internal ballistics calculation of solid rocket propellants. He has also contributed significantly for performance analysis of gun propellants, high explosives and pyrotechnic composition, thus covering entire spectrum of High Energy Materials (HEMs). He is life member of High Energy Materials Society of India (HEMSI) and Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI). He has written 11 books and has one chapter in international multi volume set of nanotechnology. He has authored more than 120 research publications in international and national journals and seminars. Around 100 technical reports are published by him. He is on the editorial boards of international journals "Bioglobia" and "Central European Journal of Energetic Materials".
