Heena Baek

HEENA BAEK is an internationally acclaimed Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award winning creator. She was born in Seoul, South Korea and studied education technology at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, and animation at the California Insitute of the Arts in Santa Clarita, California. After working in advertising and multimedia for children, she began to create her own picture books when her daughter was born. Baek has won multiple awards for her work, both in South Korea and internationally. She lives in Seoul.
