Harold Frederic
Harold Frederic (1856-1898) was an American journalist, foreign correspondent, and novelist. He wrote several early stories, but it was not until he published Illumination in 1896, better known by its American title, The Damnationof Theron Ware, followed by Gloria Mundi in 1898, that his gifts as a novelist were fully realized.
