Harleen Kaur
Harleen Kaur is an artist by passion and profession. Born and raised in New Jersey, Harleen spent her childhood immersed in the local Sikh community. Her work consists of images and typography inspired by her own faith journey and love for Sikhi, nd she wishes to share that love with those who are searching for it. As a Sikh artist, she hopes to create work that can invoke thought and emotion, connect others to the divinity within, and can challenge the mold to which the world prescribes. Ultimately, her work is a vehicle for expressing her passions for Sikhi, justice, inclusivity, connection, and community.
Harleen illustrates both digitally and traditionally in pen, ink, and acrylic paint and more in an array of sizes, ranging from a sketchbook page to full wall murals. She specializes in custom artwork, fine-art prints, and mural work--and is grateful to have illustrated Veer Singh and the Quest of the Golden Apple as her first children's book, of hopefully many.
