Hare KrishnaHare Krishna was born on June 28, 1981, Dr Hare Krishna graduated from the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, B.H.U., Varanasi and completed his M. Sc. and Ph. D. from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He has gotan outstanding acadeic career. With his experience andvision, he contributed significantly to address the major obstacles of commercial micro propagation. Based on hiswork a protocol for bio-hardening of tissue culture-raised plantlets was developed. Furthermore, this study also earned him the prestigious IARI Gold Medal in 2004. He developed physiological understanding to the mechanism of bio-hardening and to the problems of mango tissue culture.He was invited for the creation of a Scirus Topic page on Mango Tissue Culture for the scientific community run by Elsevier, The Netherlands. He began his professional career by joining Agricultural Research Service in 2006 under Vivekanand Institute of Hill Agriculture, Almora. Helater joined Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture-Regional Station, Mukteshwar. Since 2010, he is working as a senior scientist at Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner. His research works are primarily focused on physiological understanding of the problems of horticultural crops. In his initial years of career, so far he has published research papers in 10 international and 15 national journals. Presently, he has been vested with responsibility of the development of a DUS descriptor for ber fruit crop; besides, several other important research issues.
