Hamid KaddamiProfessor Hamid Kaddami received his PhD from INSA Lyon, France, in 1995. After his post-doctoral position in Germany (Scholarship from INM-Saarbrucken) from 1995 to 1996, he joined Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech in November 1996. He was appointd Full Professor at the same university in July 2003. Professor Kaddami has had many national and international distinctions, including Yamada Foundation Grant for Visiting Professor in 2004, Fullbright Grant for Visiting Professor in 2013, R&D prize from the InnovAct competition (Morocco Research Association.) The research activities of Professor Kaddami include the valorization of natural resources by integrating them into the development of functional biomaterials; nanocelluloses; biocomposites; bioaerogels, and biopolymers electrolytes. This research has been supported by many national and international agencies, as well as industrials contracts. Professor Kaddami has supervised and co-supervised more than 20 PhD and post-doctoral students and published more than 100 research journal papers. In collaboration with other colleagues from worldwide universities, he set up the international conference ICBMC (International Conference on Bio-Based Materials and Composites). This conference reached its fifth edition in 2019. He also edited many special issues in scientific journals.
