Hal HimmelsteinHAL HIMMELSTEIN is Professor of Television and Radio at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, and Director of Research of the Center for the Study of World Television. His book On the Small Screen (Praeger, 1981) was chosen as Outstandng Academic Book in Mass Communication for 1981-82 by Choice magazine, and his articles on television and culture and his interviews with video artists have appeared in Access, Wide Angle, The Journal of Film and Video, and various anthologies. He is a regular contributor to Almanac: The Annual of the International Council of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and is a frequent guest on the television series All About TV.
