Hagit VardiHagit Vardi trained as a flutist and later in different modalities of healing arts. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where she has been helping people as a Feldenkrais Practitioner. In her sixties Vardi began writing poetry as part of her own healing process. She has published five poetry collections in Hebrew with Pardes Publishing - Glass Girl (2013), In Lieu of Choking (2015), She Wasn't Damaged (2015), The Sea Is Your Witness (2016), and When the Moon Listened (2022). She Wasn't Damaged, poems written for speaker and chorus, was staged as part of the 2015 Tel Aviv Ha'Ezrach Kan Festival for original theater on human and civil rights. In 2019 it was made into a video which was featured at the annual One Billion Rising event in Tel Aviv in 2020. Vardi's poems have been featured in newspapers, literary magazines, and on radio.
