Gomes Eannes De Zurara
Gomes Eannes de Azurara (1410?-1474?) was a Portuguese chronicler and historian known for his detailed accounts of the exploration and conquests in Africa. As a Keeper of the Royal Archives, Azurara was commissioned to write about the history of Cuta under King Affonso V. His meticulous research and dedication to preserving historical events provide valuable insights into the early exploration of Africa and the contributions of Prince Henry the Navigator to Portuguese history.
