Gillian TurnerGillian has taught in a number of schools in London. She has been a leading literacy teacher and organised a range of in service workshops on poetry, storytelling and book making. Gillian has also been a deputy head teacher in a large multi-cutural school and has been involved in the development and mentoring for the SCITT programme in Wandsworth. She has also worked with schools to develop a whole school initiative to improve writing. Gillian is now working as a senior lecturer at St. Mary’s University on the PGCE M Level programme. She has written and had published a book on Shared Texts and is now writing a fiction book for children. Her research has focused on reluctant readers and improving boys’ writing. Read More Read Less
