George HortonGeorge Horton (1859-1942) was a United States diplomat, writer and philehellnist best remembered today for his book "The Blight of Asia", a book detailing the ethnic cleansing of the Christians of Asia Minor. In 1929 he published the book "Home of Nyphs and Vampires: The Isles of Greece" which is a traveller's account of his journeys through the Greek islands, with curious chapters on the folklore of fairies and vampires.
