GenxcoreAbout the Author: GenXCore is the author of the critically acclaimed novel California Roadkill. A high school dropout, he earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in his 40s from California State University, Long Beach. He lives in Los Angeles. This i his second novel. About the Foreword and James Remar: James Remar is one of my favorite actors of all time. I am entranced by the sensitivity he exudes on the screen. That he read my first novel, "California Roadkill," is an honor; that he liked it enough to write a review (see genxcore.com) and now a foreword for "California Roadkill 2: The In Between," is out-of-body, and I am most grateful. -GenXCore -from IMDb (October 2025): James Remar first gained recognition in 1979 as Ajax, in the cult classic film "The Warriors." Since then he has run the gamut of roles and solid career choices: Dutch Schultz in Francis Coppola's "The Cotton Club," Albert Ganz in Walter Hill's "48 Hrs.," and Richard Wright in HBO's "Sex and the City," for which he won a SAG award. In the sensational Showtime series, "Dexter," James played Dexter's wise and compassionate adoptive father, Harry Morgan, and was nominated for both a SAG and Emmy award. He also enjoys the distinction of being the only actor to die twice as two different characters Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained." He later reunited with Tarantino in the Academy Award winning "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood;" and then in yet another Academy Award winning film, starred in Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer." Currently, he is reprising his Harry Morgan character in the Paramount+ hit series "Dexter: Resurrection," as well as starring in the upcoming HBO series "Welcome to Derry," a prequel to Stephen King's "IT". Soon he'll be starring in yet another Chrisopher Nolan film, the much anticipated, "The Odyssey," an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek poem. Cover art, design and illustrations by Ron Yungul.
