Gene Johnson Gene Johnson in an industrial organisational psychologist with a wearied career in academia, the public service and private sector consulting. He started his career as a personnel research psychologist for the US office of Personnel Management. rom there, he moved to the University of Auckland as a lecturer in human resources management (HRM) and organisational psychology, teaching at undergraduate, graduate and executive levels. While there, Gene directed the New Zealand component of the Cranfield Project on strategic HRM - an international research programme conducted in almost 30 countries. He is also a dedicated member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and a one-time national councillor.

In 2000, Gene ttransferredto fill time consulting. He now works as a senior consultant for IQuentis - a European based management consulting and training company. Much of his work involves creating and managing programmes across European borders.
