Gedeon GuindoMr. Guindo contributed cultural information and ensured the text properly reflected and honored the Dogon heritage and the wishes of those in the villages he is connected with. He also translated dialogue into the traditional Dogosso language. Gedeon Guindo Amadime was given his names through both Christian and traditional customs- "Gedeon" by his father, symbolizing power over idols, and "Amadime" by his grandfather meaning "follows god". Born into a family of 11 children in Mali, Gedeon pursued education diligently, earning his CEP, DEF, and a Baccalaureate in Letters from Koro High School in 2002. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences (2006) and a Professional Degree in Educational Psychology (2023). A dedicated educator, he taught Music, Drawing, Civics, and Moral Education. He worked as a librarian from 2007 to 2009 before serving as Director of the second cycle at Idiely-na School from 2009 to 2016. He founded and coordinates The Malian Association for Education, Health, and Sustainable Development and directs programs at a high School in the city of Bandiagara.
