Dr Gavin Spickett is a retired hospital consultant, specialising in Immunology, Allergy and Internal Medicine. His professional work included caring for people with chronic fatigue, among whom were people with the over-training syndrome. He is a qalified fitness trainer, keen club runner and regularly competes in the full range of distances up to ultra.
