Gary PathareGary Pathare (M.Ed. TESOL, Newcastle University) has taught English and been a teacher trainer and materials and examination writer in the UAE, Spain and Italy since 1990. His main professional interest is in developing new teaching approaches and maerials to support them, in particular focusing on learner needs in specific contexts. Gary is author and co-author of many ELT coursebooks and materials for major publishers. He has also published chapters and papers in ELT publications in a variety of pedagogical areas, including teaching vocabulary, writing, spelling and literacy, innovation in teaching with IT, and developing within the ELT profession. He has presented at many international conferences, and has extensive experience in examining for IELTS and Cambridge exams.
