Gabriel E PanteliasDr. Gabriel E. Pantelias, Physicist and PhD in Radiobiology and Biophysics (Rochester Medical School, NY, USA), was born in 1950 on the island of Naxos in the Cyclades. He served as Research Director, Institute Director, and Vice President of the Natonal Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos" (N.C.S.R. "Demokritos"). He pursued a successful career as a research scientist with wide international recognition. In 2020 he was awarded the European Bacq and Alexander Award by the European Radiation Research Society.
