G. Sam Carr

G. Sam Carr spent his boyhood roaming the draws, gullies, and canyons of the Northern Black Hills. After careers in the U.S. Navy and local government, he is now a freelance writer and member of Western Writers of America. His first book, Back o Deadwood, was published in June of 2000. His nonfiction work has appeared in Wild West Magazine. Carr and his wife, Dolly, live on Long Island, New York. They have three grown children.
