G P IsserG.P. Isser, a former member of Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and former Ambassador of India, was engaged in Research in various aspects of Development Economics. During his diplomatic career, he served at various levels in Indian Missions abroad incluing Brussels. Colombo, Muscat, Rabat, Tokyo, Khartoum, etc. On the basis of his thesis on The Role of Trade in Economics Development, he was awarded a fellowship from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. His research work was also published under the same title. His last study and research work centered on the evolution of development thought and policy with special reference to poverty-alleviation in the development world.
