Frederick Amadeus Malleson
Frederick Amadeus Malleson (1819–1897) was a clergyman at the church of Broughton-in-Furness in Lancashire. In 1877, he translated Journey to the Center of the Earth for London publisher Ward, Lock & Co. Ltd. This work is now widely regarde as the book’s foremost translation.
