Fong Woon LaiFong-Woon Lai is Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Master of Business Administration (inance) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. He obtained his PhD (in enterprise risk management) from the University of Malaya, the oldest university in Malaysia. At UTP, he was responsible for the designing and development of the MBA in Energy Management (MBA-EM) program for which he was appointed as the founding Program Manager from 2013 to 2016. Dr Lai has been teaching in higher education institutions since 1998. Before joining the academia, he worked in two stock broking companies in Malaysia. He held an Investment Advisor's Representative License issued by the Malaysian Securities Commission (SC) in 1997. Dr Lai has co-authored management books, published in indexed journals and presented in local and international conferences. His research papers are in the areas of corporate finance, strategy, risk management, socio-economic analysis and higher education research.
