Fokko Jan DijksterhuisFokko Jan Dijksterhuis is Associate Professor in the History of Science at the University of Twente and Louise Thijssen-Schoute, Professor in Early Modern History of Knowledge at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Originally specializing in seventeent-century optics, his interests have broadened to encompass the cultural history of knowledge in the early modern period. He is particularly interested in practical, useful, and artefactual ways of knowing.
