Floyd BeaverFloyd Beaver left Tulsa University after one year to join Navy just before the outbreak of WWII. During the war, he served in 15 different ships under four separate Admirals' Flag Allowances as signalman. He did liaison duty with both the British andFrench navies and served in the Pacific, as well as with North Atlantic convoys, and Mediterranean landing forces. He was promoted CSM for Meritorious Conduct in Action and awarded British Mention in Dispatches. He made a career as an advertising executive after the war.
