Florian SatzingerAustrian-based artist Florian Satzinger, a former student of animator and animation director Ken Southworth at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, is a character design, visual development artist and illustrator in film, TV and books or clients such as Warner Bros., Disney, Panini Group, ReelFX, Ravensburger, Zanuck Family Entertainment; and has worked on iconic characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Scooby-Doo and many more. Aside from his work in the so-called "industry", his satirical observations of contemporary art, as well as overpaintings of classic works of art from the 19th century, for which he was awarded the Erich Sokol Prize in 2023, have been and continue to be regularly exhibited in museums and art forums, including prestigious institutions such as the Karikaturmuseum Krems an der Donau, the Comic Museum in Angouleme, The Gypsotheca of the Istituto d'Arte di Porta Romana in Florence, the Ars Electronica Center in Linz, the Designforum / Kunsthaus Graz, the Bierger Center in Luxembourg, the Academy of Sciences in Vienna and many more.
