Fiona DoyleFiona Doyle completed the John Burgess Playwriting Course in London, 2012. That same year, she won a scholarship to study dramatic writing as part of the International Summer School at the Universität der Künste, Berlin. In 2014, COOLATULLY/i> won the Papatango New Writing Prize and was produced at the Finborough Theatre and published by Nick Hern Books. DELUGE won the 2014 Eamon Keane Full-Length Play Award, was subsequently produced at Hampstead Downstairs in 2015 and also published by Nick Hern Books. In 2015 Fiona received a 7 week attachment at the National Theatre Studio and was the recipient of the inaugural 2015/16 Phelim Donlon Playwright’s Bursary and Residency Award from the Irish Theatre Institute in association with the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. In February 2016, she wrote the short play MS Y which was part of the Young Vic’s ‘5 Plays’ project. COOLATULLY received its American premiere in March 2017; it was produced by Solas Nua at Flashpoint, Mead Theatre Lab in Washington D.C. and the production received a Helen Hayes Awards recommendation. Fiona is also the recipient of a Peggy Ramsay Foundation grant, a Cill Rialaig Artist residency and is currently under commission to Hampstead Theatre and National Theatre Connections 2018.
