Faansie PeacockAs his name suggests, Faansie Peacock lives and breathes birds. He is a South African ornithologist and artist whose love for birds was born from a childhood spent exploring the African bush. Faansie has authored and illustrated five books on souther African birds, including the acclaimed Chamberlain's LBJs and Chamberlain's Waders, and served as editor for the Eskom Red Data Book of Birds of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. He was previously employed as Curator of Birds at the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History, serves on the South African National Rarities Committee and is a recipient of a BirdLife South Africa Owl Award.
