Exona MollI was born in Oxford during the Second World War. We lived in a suburb of Oxford where there were all large houses and mostly elderly folks. We lived in a flat that was upstairs in my grandmother's house. Grandma was an invalid, and I was not to distrb her. I started school at the local infants' school, but I was always sick. So my parents sent me as a day girl to a nearby boarding school.
