Eugene Clark
Prof. Dr Eugene Clark is a Distinguished Professor, China University of Political Science and Law. He is also the Foundation Dean at Charlotte School of Law. His first law degree was from Washburn University in the United States where he wa admitted to practice before the Kansas and United States District Courts. He also holds a PhD in law from the University of Tasmania and two Master's Degrees in Education. Formerly he was Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Canberra and Dean, Faculty of Law, Business and Arts, Charles Darwin University.
He has written, co-authored or edited more than twenty books and over 100 journal articles, including: Managers and the Law (2nd ed.) (with Griggs et al.), and Australian Financial Institutions Law (1993, 2nd ed. 1996, with Blay) and Australian Marketing Law1994, with Livermore). He is on the editorial boards ofThe Australian Business Law Review, Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and GovernmentandJournal of Law and Information Science. He was also a member of the Business Law Committee of the Law Council of Australia In this edition, Eugene served as a general editor and coordinator and authored Chapter 1: General Background of the Country; Part I, Chapter 1: Concepts and Sources of Commercial Law, Chapter 3: Economic Institutions, Chapter 7 on Negotiable Instruments, and Chapter 10 on Commercial Securities.
