Esther BoydEsther Boyd is a contemporary artist living in Kansas City. She studied art at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. Later, she pursued a BFA in textile design and a master's in architecture and culture from the University of Kansas. Flowers are the focus of many of her paintings, although the shapes and colors at local markets also have provided her with subject matter. The black and white illustrations of this book may seem a divergence from her usual work, but they reflect her many years of graphic design experience.
