Ernest A SinnesDedicated to Zachary Balita Epigraph by Wendell Berry About the Author: Ernie Sinnes was born Ernest D'elicio in 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. He changed his last name to Sinnes upon turning 18 in Alexandria, Virginia, as a gift to his stepfather. Beteen those moments, and for many more after, he came to be who he is in the small, coal mining town of Plymouth, Pennsylvania. He has worked at over thirty jobs in his lifetime (from age 19 to 77, he was also a working artist, primarily in oils and acrylics) and has traveled in Colombia, Peru, Italy, France, England, Mexico, Japan, and much of the United States. Today, he resides with his wife near his children and grandchildren in Maryland, where he reads and writes.
