His work and the companies he founded (MetaDesign, FontShop et al) have had an unparalleled influence on the grapic design scene all around the worl. He has received the German National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement and the prestigious TDC Medal by the Type Directors Club in New York among many others honors. Spiekermann is behind the design of well-known brands such as Audi and the German Railways, information systems for Berlin Transit and Dusseldorf Airport, as well as the corporate typefaces for Bosch, Mozilla and many more.
