Emory Stephen Bogardus
Emory S. Bogardus (born near Belvidere, Illinois, February 21, 1882 – August 21, 1973) was a prominent figure in the history of American sociology. Bogardus founded one of the first sociology departments at an American university, at the Universit of Southern California in 1915.
