Elspeth Hamilton

Elspeth Hamilton was born in Irvine, Scotland in 1947 and attended schools in Prestwick and Lerwick. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Strathclyde University she worked for some years as a Medical Social Worker before entering the teahing profession. Elspeth worked in various schools within Glasgow then in 1997 she was appointed Headteacher of Nesting Primary in Shetland, retiring from there in 2007. Elspeth has three children and now lives in Glasgow.
