Elma Correa

Elma Correa nació y vive en Mexicali, donde coordina el encuentro internacional de escritores Tiempo de Literatura y gestiona @habitaciones_propias, una comunidad virtual donde las mujeres del mundo comparten los espacios donde cran. Ha escrito Que parezca un accidente (2018); Mentiras que no te conté (2021), con el que recibió el XX Premio Nacional de Cuento Juan José Arreola; Llorar de fiesta (2022); Lo simple (2023), Premio Bellas Artes de Cuento San Luis Potosí Amparo Dávila, y La novia del león (2024). Su última novela es Donde termina el verano, galardonada con el Premio Biblioteca Breve 2026.

Elma Correa was born and lives in Mexicali, where she coordinates the international writers' gathering Tiempo de Literatura and manages @habitaciones_propias, a virtual community where women around the world share the spaces where they create. She has written Que parezca un accidente (2018); Mentiras que no te conté (2021), which earned her the 20th Juan José Arreola National Short Story Prize; Llorar de fiesta (2022); Lo simple (2023), winner of the Amparo Dávila San Luis Potosí Fine Arts Short Story Prize; and La novia del león (2024). Her latest novel is Donde termina el verano, awarded the Premio Biblioteca Breve 2026.
