Ellen M. LeonardEllen M. Leonard is a Sister of St. Joseph of Toronto. She is professor emerita at the University of St. Michaelâs College, Faculty of Theology, where she has taught since 1977. Her areas of research include Roman Catholic Modernism, Christology, eccesiology, and feminist theology. Her publications include a number of chapters in collected works as well as three books, the latest being Creative Tension: The Spiritual Legacy of Friedrich von Hugel (1997). She was the 2004 recipient of the Catholic Theological Society of Americas Ann OHara Graff award for her ministries with and on behalf of women and the 2005 YWCA Woman of Distinction award for her contribution to women and education.
