She considers herself to be like the Thinker staue, or the preacher in the book of Ecclesiastes in the bible, beholding everything trying to find its true meaning. Being recognized by many as having a gift for speaking, the assignments began. She began public speaking in auditoriums and in many competitions during her youth, traveling throughout much of the state of Louisiana. She has worked in prison ministry and in a local food and clothing bank. She is a retired customer service coordinator. She is a mother of twins and a grandmother.
