Inspired by her son Leo's fascination with landscaping equipment and outdoor work, Ellen wrote "Leo the Landscaper: It's Lawn Mowing Day!" to fill a gap she discovered in children's literature. After years of reading landscaping catalogs, lawn care magazines, and homemade stories with her son, she created a picture book celebrating kids with a passion for landscaping.
