Ella Cook

Ella’s obsession with books started as soon as she could turn pages by herself – and she’s wanted to write ever since she realized making those beautiful creations was actually someone’s job.

She grew up in London believing fairies lived a the bottom of her Grandma’s garden, and she still looks for – and often finds – magic in everyday life.

She has a degree in Communications, Authoring and Design, won the SWWJ Floella Benjamin award in 2019, and published her debut novel in 2021. She doesn’t plan to stop writing any time soon.

When she’s not lost in a fictional world, she writes bids for children’s services. She lives in Warwickshire (where there are doubtless more fairies) with a tiny parrot and her ever-loving partner who reads all her stories first and makes gallons of tea in magical cups that keep drinks warm for whole chapters. And definitely doesn’t tease Ella about her tea intake!
