Elizabeth Rollins EpperlyElizabeth Rollins Epperly, PhD, was born in the United States but moved to Canada because of her love for the writing of L. M. Montgomery, She was the first student to register for the newly created University of Prince Edward Island in 1969 and, fro 1995 to 1998, served as its first woman president. Dr. Epperly has written dozens of articles and six books, including Summer in the Land of Anne, and has created four Montgomery exhibitions. Founding chair of the L. M.
