Ejup Ganic Dr. Ejup Ganic, (Sarajevo, Yugoslavia) was born in 1946 in Sebecevo near Novi Pazar, former Yugoslavia. He studied engineering at the University of Belgrade - B.Sc. (1970), M.S. (1972). In 1973 he continued his graduate work at M.I.T., Boston,USA, where, after getting his doctorate degree, he continued his academic career at the University of Illinois in Chicago, receiving a tenure position.
