Edward F. ZiglerEdward F. Zigler was Sterling Professor of Psychology and Director of the Bush Center in Child Development and Social Policy at Yale University. He was the recipient of the Awards for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology in the Public Interest ad Distinguished Professional Contributions to Knowledge from the American Psychological Association, among others. Zigler was the architect of the Head Start program and of succeeding efforts, including Project Follow Through, Home Start, and the Child Development Associate Program.  He pass away in 2019.
